Ahmedabad is one of the most developing city of India and once was also known as “Manchester of India. Here I present you the 5 worst things in Ahmedabad that I have been experiencing from many years.

1.   The heat during summer –

Yes as we all know how hot Gujarat is during its Summer, Ahmadabad can get hit up to 50 C which is unbearable and makes us faint sometimes. The occasional heat waves are one deadly thing to avoid during summers. There have been reports about deaths due to the heatwaves too. During summer, people come out on streets and enjoy cool beverages and fruits. The heat is so immense that people wearing dupatas and hellmets still have skin problems.

2. The level of pollution-

Despite of so much development of the city, the pollution and traffic is as high as any other major city of india. This makes living in the city a lot difficult and suffocating. The problems are more severe in mornings and evenings. The usage of polythin bag in shopping centers, and the poor solid waste management by the corporation is affecting many lives of people. Still there are many old vehicles which are emitting polution and are not being serviced or are not been technologically improved.  Although there are still attempts being made to overcome this problem like baning BS-3 vehicals. But there should be more such actions should be taken to overcome the problem on the emediate basis.

2.      Slow internet speed –

The city has one of the slowest internet speed compared to other big cities. Its one of the basic need of life and is bad. Ahmedabad is one of the most developing in Gujarat, but when we talk about technological development, it lacks behind many other cities of India. In spite of the rule of TRAI that the internet speed should not fall back 512kbps , it nicely goes to 250kbps even after framing the rule. On an average the internet servers down for 4 to 5 times, in a month. The state government, should take initiative to develop in technological aspects, so that working of  people are at ease and  Ahmedabad can also be in the competition with other developing cities in India.

4. Spitting of Gutka everywhere-

The shopkeepers of pan masala and cigarettes are earning great in ahmedabad. Every where whether it be school corporate building, college or even public garden the situation is same always. Gutka and pan masala served in plastic sachets, both being banned are still available. Inspite the initiative taken by the corporation to spread awarness, even then people doesn’t stop consuming guthka’s and are very rigid for not changing.

5.Digging roads throughout the year.

The municipal corporation is always busy in digging the roads of the city no matter what’s the season is, which causes a lot of problem for common people, it creates a lot of chaos on the roads as people doesn’t get proper space for parking and thus park their vehicles anywhere on the road creating a lot of traffic. Although the problem of digging roads has been reduced in last few years.
